There will be a premiere in the Bundesliga game between 1. FC Cologne and Werder Bremen. For the first time, a coach will be equipped with a radio microphone when broadcasting a game in the women’s Bundesliga.
In the game on Saturday (1 p.m./MagentaSport and DAZN) in Cologne’s RheinEnergie Stadium, Werder coach Friederike Kromp will wear the wireless lapel microphone. TV viewers can then hear what the 41-year-old says on the sidelines or in the dugout.
The German Football Association announced that the implementation will take place together with the host broadcaster Sky, which is responsible for producing the basic signal. The audio and video sequences would be pre-produced in the broadcast van and integrated into the basic signal after the club had approved the content, it was said.
