“When Jesse goes into the ‘zone’, he’s really calm and focused. It’s a side that many people don’t necessarily know or know how to associate with Puljujärvi. And it’s not just before games, but every day.”

Jesse Puljujärvi has risen to a big role in the Lions’ first chain and number one superiority.

Saarijärvi says that he noticed at the beginning of the season that Puljujärvi’s confidence was not necessarily very high.

Laughter and smiles are often repeated when you ask your friends about Puljujärvi. He seems to create joy and positivity around him.

“Jesse has always just been himself. It’s great to see that he’s still the same guy as when we were younger, when we played in Kärpi at the same time.”

“Especially when a guy is going, it’s so nice to watch. You can see now that his confidence is at its peak. The guy is flying on the ice, creating chances and scoring goals. It’s amazing to watch,” Annunen says.

Puljujärvi is known to be a passionate practitioner.
