Pep Guardiola leaves Manchester City: “I know deep down that it’s time”

Manchester City confirms it: Pep Guardiola leaves at the end of the season after ten years.

“Don’t ask me the reasons why I’m leaving – Guardiola’s words – There isn’t a precise reason, but inside me I know that it’s the moment. Nothing is eternal: if it were, I would still be here. However, the feeling, the people, the memories, the love I feel for my Manchester City will be eternal”.

Guardiola, who still had a year left on his contract, joined City in July 2016 and led the club to 20 trophies. His connection with the City Football Group will not end as he will take on the role of global ambassador. In this new role he will provide technical consultancy to the group’s clubs and work on specific projects and collaborations.
