Awa Fam debuts with 10 points and victory in the WNBA

The young Spanish center Awa Fam had a positive debut this Sunday in the American WNBA, the women’s NBA, with the Seattle Storm with whom she had a good offensive game, also accompanied by the 97-84 victory over the Washington Mystics.

The 19-year-old international, chosen number three in the draft, did not suffer too much from the long trip from Valencia to the United States, where she arrived last Friday to join her team in the powerful American league where she took the field with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter in place of Dolson.

It didn’t take long for Fam to grab her first defensive rebound and miss her first shot in the WNBA, a three-pointer. It wasn’t until the second period when he scored his first two points with a basket under the board shortly before halftime.

In the end, the young Spanish center finished the game with 10 points, six of them in the final quarter and with 4/7 shooting, two rebounds, a steal, two turnovers and four personal fouls in just over 20 minutes on the court.
