Arrested Osipyan continues his hunger strike, demanding an apology from the Prime Minister

Arrested Artur Osipyan continues his hunger strike for the fifth day in the “Nubarashen” penitentiary, demanding that Prime Minister Pashinyan apologize for the remarks he made against him.

Osipyan’s lawyer Davit Hovhannisyan told “Azat” that the cell of the hunger strikers is damp, Osipyan is deprived of sunlight.

The activist from Artsakh, who got into an argument with the Prime Minister in Arabkir, is charged with three counts: calls for violence, hooliganism and obstructing the pre-election campaign.

A number of human rights defenders condemned Osipyan’s detention, calling the criminal prosecution political.
