The macabre discovery occurred in the parking lot of the supermarket located right in front of the Hot stadiumwhere the Iranian team has trained daily since arriving on Sunday, a minute’s drive from their hotel. The suspicious car had been parked there since Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office.
In Mexico, Tijuana it is often considered one of the most dangerous cities in the country. According to official statistics, over 1,200 murders occurred there in 2025.

The theft suffered by the English national team

Balls, football boots and other material for the training of the English national team was stolen during the team’s transfer to the Kansas City training center from Florida. According to the BBC, the vehicles transporting the material to the Swope sports center were broken into. The Football Association confirmed to Britain’s Press Association that an incident had occurred, but could not provide further information as the matter is now a matter for the police.
The Kansas City, Missouri, police department told the Daily Mail: “We are investigating about a possible theft of equipment from a team vehicle that arrived in Kansas City this evening, with some items missing. Investigations are ongoing.” The BBC reported that two arrests had apparently been made in connection with the incident.
