Elisa Aaltola downloads direct words about Haaland’s raccoon: “A really big danger”

On Monday, Haaland returned to Norway with the rest of the team, carrying a stuffed raccoon with a bottle of alcohol in his hand.

Haaland bought the raccoon from Wild Bill’s Western Store in Dallas.

According to Aaltola, Haaland’s capture is not a harmless joke, but a denigration of the animal’s body.

He fears that the Norwegian star’s example may increase the demand for stuffed raccoons and, at worst, lead to animals being killed for sale.

“It’s a really big danger, because what celebrities do quickly turns into a trend,” says Aaltola.

A similar raccoon pays Wild Bill’s in the online store 750 dollars, or about 660 euros, but the product is currently sold out. Today, Haaland’s face adorns the front page of the store’s online store.

Aaltolan the initial reaction to the picture taken of Haaland was strong.

“Anyone who wants to buy a stuffed animal and make it look ridiculous with a bottle of whiskey is demeaning the animal. It is very problematic and as a single act says something really negative about his relationship with animals,” says Aaltola.

According to Aaltola, keeping stuffed animals as decorative objects indicates a wider problem in people’s attitude towards animals.

“It shows the inability to understand that an animal is a sentient, i.e. an intelligent and feeling individual. No one would accept that someone would fill up their deceased loved one and throw them in the living room,” states Aaltola.

Haaland has received criticism for introducing a raccoon in his home country as well.

Norwegian newspaper Online newspaper according to the souvenir angered the Norwegian green MDG politician Catherine Spanengin.

“Of all the things Haaland could have done after landing in Norway for us all to celebrate, he carried a shot and stuffed raccoon from the plane with a bottle of booze in his mouth. I think that was worthless,” Spaneng wrote in his Facebook post.

According to Spaneng, Haaland should have set a better example.

“I’m really disappointed by this. I hope he has a good explanation,” Spaneng wrote.

Spaneng removed his post from Facebook on Tuesday morning.

At Aaltola has one message for Haaland.

“Respect living animals, and don’t joke with killed animals. A live animal is always better than a dead one,” says Aaltola.

In Aaltola’s opinion, Haaland could still remedy the situation by giving up the stuffed raccoon and taking a public stance on the matter.

“He could get rid of that decorative object. If he had an awareness at this point, he would recognize that it was time to screw up,” says Aaltola.

Haaland charmed people at the World Cup with his authenticity and throwing himself into American culture. He gained a large number of new fans, as the Norwegian’s number of followers on Instagram increased by around 22 million during the Games.
