Athletics: Alisa Launonen: Now records are shaking! Finland’s great promise is really close to European Championship gold

Finnish multi-sport promise Alisa Launonen is fast on the way to the under-18 heptathlon European Championship.

Launonen, 16, is leading the match in Rieti, Italy, with a hundred points, with only the last event left, i.e. the 800-meter run. Second behind Finland is Germany Svea Funck.

Before the last race, Launose has 5290 points. His heptathlon record is 6011. The competition is played with equipment for 17-year-olds, so the results are not comparable to the results of adults.

On Friday Launonen jumped his own record of 625. Suurlupaus previously also set a record for 200 meters, which he broke in 24.06.

The 800 meters of the heptathlon will be run on Friday from 19:25.

Correction 17.7. 3:39 p.m.: Corrected Launonen’s score before the last race.
