Finnish hockey coach Jussi Ahokas takes over as the head coach of the AHL club Colorado Eagles. Society announced about it on Friday.
The Eagles are the farm club of the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche. Ahokas moves to the team from the Kitchener Rangers of the junior league OHL. Previous coach of the Eagles Mark Letestu at the end of the season moved to the assistant coach of the NHL club Vegas Golden Knights.
“Jussi has done a great job with every team and league he’s been in. We’re excited to welcome him to the Avalanche and Eagles family,” Eagles GM Kevin McDonald says in the announcement.
