Remco Evenepoel won the time trial of the 16th stage of the Tour de Francedi 26.1 km from Evian Les-Bains to Thonon Les-Bains. The Belgian champion from Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe won with a time of 32’19″33 in front of the Tadej Pogacar yellow jersey of the UAE Emirates
Third place for the Dane Mattias Skjelmose of Lidl-Trek at +1’04”. Pogacar remains leader and yellow jersey with 4’32” on the Bora captain. Immediately behind is Paul Seixas in fourth and fifth at +1’16” Isaac Del Toro at +1’21”, while he closes with a excellent sixth place for the Italian Mattia Cattaneo (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe), at +1’42” but leading the race for a long time, while Filippo Ganna finished in 11th place at 2’06”.
