Liverpool’s Amara Nallo: on loan to HJK

HJK is in the process of signing Liverpool’s under-21 team captain Amara Nallon for a loan, says The Athletic.

The 19-year-old English couple has already been marked as visible on HJK’s UEFA website to the assembly for Thursday’s Conference League qualifier against Coleraine.

It is not yet certain whether Nallo will be able to participate in Thursday’s match, but according to Athletic, he is expected to play a significant role during his loan spell.

Liverpool left Nallo out of the squad for their US training tour to complete the loan move. The club believes that regular playing time at the adult level will speed up the defender’s development.

Nallo’s start in the Liverpool representative team was difficult. He received a straight red card just four minutes into his Champions League debut against PSV in January 2025.

His next match in the representative team also ended in elimination in the Liigacup. Nallo also became the first Liverpool player to be sent off in two consecutive matches.

After this, Nallo has mainly played in Liverpool’s under-21 team. In addition to this, he has appeared in the national team only once, in the Champions League match against Qarabag last January.
