Paraná Club extended the negative sequence in Gold Series of the Paranaense Futsal Championship with the defeat away from home to Dois Vizinhos by 5-2, last Saturday (25), and was even closer to the relegation zone. Tricolor comes from four setbacks, two of which were at the Tarumã Gymnasium.
With the negative sequence, the Paranista team parked itself at nine points, in 12th place, and is just one point behind second-placed Ampere, who drew 2-2 away from home with São Miguel. The two worst teams play a direct confrontation, making it worth remaining in the elite of the State.
“Evaluating defeat seems like an excuse for having lost, but if we analyze the game, we had more ball possession, more intensity and many chances to score, but we failed in the final detail which is the finishing. The sum that we needed to win was terrible. We need to get back to it to get the victory in the next game”, said coach José Roulien Júnior, in response to the OneTwo Sports.
Paraná Clube has a direct confrontation in the next round
In the next round, Paraná Clube will play a decisive match against Ampere and can end the round in the knockout stage if they win. However, if they lose the game, Tricolor will no longer depend on themselves to escape the last two places. Even so, the technical committee is already working to put the bad sequence behind them.
“We work on this mental part with conversations, always trying to give credibility so that they are in a good headspace, which is the most important thing, so that we can ensure that this negative aspect that has been with us for a long time does not become a monster that will be on our backs”commented the technician.
“Since after the game, we have been working on this aspect of working, having a good head, being positive, having this mental plan seeking victory and trying to leave it behind. Cycles are meant to be broken and a team doesn’t spend that long with this negativity of defeats. We hope that Saturday we turn this key to our sequence”, added Júnior.
The Gold Series of the Paranaense Championship has 14 teams, including the current three-time champion Pato and the greatest champion Cascavel. In addition to Paraná Clube, the other teams are Ampére, Campo Mourão, Chopinzinho, Dois Vizinhos, Guarapuava, Itaipulândia, Manoel Ribas, Marreco, Palmas, São Miguel and Umuarama.
The teams face each other in a single round and the best four qualify for the quarterfinals. Leader Pato, who has 25 points in ten games, has already secured a direct spot. The other three teams that complete the G4 today are Marreco, Umuarama and Dois Vizinhos.
The other classifieds are defined through clashes between the 5th and 12th placed. The two worst teams compete in a knockout stage to determine relegation to the Silver Series.
