Iran warns South Korea: sending forces to the Middle East is complicity in aggression

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has warned South Korea that its participation in military operations in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf or the deployment of forces to these areas will have serious consequences.

A statement in Korean released by agency spokesman Esmail Bagai noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran values its relationship with the Republic of Korea, but will not tolerate Seoul’s direct military support for American aggression.

“Sovereign, responsible states should not capitulate to US threats and pressure, thereby becoming complicit in heinous crimes against the Iranian people,” the official wrote.
