The Formula 1 stays in Double pack. As the KURIER found out, ORF and Hello TV agreed on sublicensing. The races will therefore continue to be split 50:50 between the two broadcasters – until 2029.
Just recently had Hello TV announced that it had extended its own contract with Formula 1 by three years. Trainings, Qualifying, The sprint race and the Grand Prix should continue to be linear and on ServusTV On be seen. On the role of ORF Initially it was only said publicly that they were “in discussions and optimistic about being able to continue the cooperation”. It is now clear: the talks have already been concluded.
This changes little for the audience. The Division of races between public and private broadcasters remains, as Formula 1 fans in Austria have known it for years. Neither Hello TV nor that one ORF have confirmed the deal so far.
