Striker Elias Havel moves from Bundesliga soccer team TSV Hartberg to Genoa in the Italian Serie A. The Genoese and Hartberg announced this on Friday. After passing his medical check, Havel received a “multi-year” contract with Liga-16. the previous season. “Genoa is a great opportunity. I’m very happy about the decision and will do everything I can to get used to it as quickly as possible,” the 23-year-old was quoted as saying by his new club.
“Elias will give our squad speed and offensive strength, two qualities that are very important for our style of play,” said Genoa sporting director Diego Lopez. Havel’s new coach is former Roma legend Daniele De Rossi. The amount of the transfer fee was not communicated; it is rumored to be two to three million euros. The offensive player, who came to Eastern Styria from LASK in 2024, had an exit clause in his TSV contract.

In Genoa, Havel meets, among others, his compatriots Franz Stolz, who returned after his GAK interlude, and David Puczka. The ÖFB U21 team player recently moved from Juventus Turin to Genoa for a fee of six million euros.
