From Rapid back to England: New club for Andreas Weimann

Weimann brings with him a wealth of experience from English professional football. His career began at Aston Villahe made more than 100 appearances for the Birmingham club Premier League. The Viennese then played for Watford, Derby County, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bristol City, West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers, among others. Most recently he was also for his youth club Rapid Wien employed.

In his career so far, Weimann has scored more than 100 goals. The attacker made 26 appearances for the Austrian national team.

Cheltenham Town is looking forward to the experience of the veteran. trainer Steve Cotterill described Weimann as a player with “proven quality” and expects him to expand his team’s offensive options.
