Eduardo da Silva supported Croatia with his daughter Lorena and son Mateus

He scored 29 goals for Croatia in only 64 appearances. If it wasn’t for that fatal injury to Martin Taylor, he might have become the best scorer of the “fire” in history. Whatever, Eduardo da Silva (39) even in retirement, he follows the national team of his (other) homeland.

The popular Dudú on social networks posted a photo of him posing with his daughter Lorraine (16) and a son Mateus (12) in Croatian jerseys. Mateus, by the way, also plays football.

“What a match! Well done fireman, you showed how you fight for our colors. We’re going strong, we’ll follow you to the end!”, wrote the Croatian Brazilian.

Eduardo met his wife Andrea when he was a football player for Dinamo, and they got married in December 2005. The married couple Da Silva has been living in Rio de Janeiro for the last four years.

Croatia beat Canada 4-1 and took over the top of Group F, and Andrej Kramarić scored two goals and tied with Daria Srna for sixth place in the all-time scoring list.

Eduardo is in fourth place, between them is Luka Modrić with 23 goals, and the undisputed Davor Šuker (45), the retired Mario Mandžukić (33) and the still active Ivan Perišić (32 goals) are in the first three places.

Last year, Eduardo was in Glasgow as Croatia’s ambassador to the Euros, he watched it live at the match against the Czech Republic. He said that his legs could not be still while watching the national team as its former player.
