Croatian national basketball team in the second round of group C Eurobasket starting at 2.15 p.m., a duel awaits of Great Britain, the weakest team in the group.
Croatia opened the first round of EuroBasket with a loss to Greece (89-85), and the scorers were led by Jaleen Smith with 23 points, Bojan Bogdanović scored 19, and Krunoslav Simon scored 18 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Tyler Dorsey led the Greeks with 27 points each.
Despite the defeat and the big deficit in the first half, Croatia put up a great resistance and made up for the deficit in the second half with an excellent game and until the end of the match they were breathing down the neck of Greece, who ultimately celebrated.
At the opening of the Eurobasket, Great Britain was convincingly defeated by Ukraine (61-90), which is currently in first place in the group with two points. Greece has the same number of points, while Croatia has a point.
Croatian basketball players today have an easier task after Greece, one of the Eurobasket favorites, primarily because of the amazing Giannis Antetokounmpo, NBA champion and two-time MVP, while Great Britain has no players in serious European clubs, except for Gabriel Olaseni in Darušafaka.
Croatia is in a group with Ukraine and Estonia, and the best four national teams from each group advance to the round of 16, while our team meets Group D, which includes Serbia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Finland and the Netherlands.
You can watch the broadcast of the match on HRT 2 and Sportklub starting at 2:15 p.m.
