Thibault Magnin: “I feel more than prepared and I have a good round”

The Spanish skier Thibault Magnin claimed to be “more than ready” to face the ‘Slopestyle’ qualifiers at the Beijing 2022 Games and be able to get into the final and then seek his personal revenge after a ‘Big Air’ where he could not be with the best.

“I feel more than prepared, I have a good round, quite easy for me but technical and creative and if I plan everything well I hope to be in the final. The goal is to be in the final, take revenge for the ‘Big Air’ and in the final We will have the objective of being in the medal”, he stated at a press conference.

In this sense, he commented that he seeks to improve his performance in the ‘Big Air’ modality and get rid of the bad taste in his mouth of not being in the final. “I didn’t do my tricks in ‘Big Air’ and it motivates me even more, I know I can be there. I will try my best to get my revenge from ‘Big Air,'” she said.

And he will do it in a circuit that he described as “incredible”. “For me he is one of the best in the world. Everything is very big, but there are many possibilities to be creative, it is something that I like very much. It is incredible,” he stressed.

“It’s a giant and very safe slopestyle, it gives us confidence to do big tricks. Because many circuits in the World Cup are dangerous. Everything is perfect here, giant, and it gives you confidence to do your dream round”, he assured the respect.

In addition, the last snowfall, which postponed the calendar by a day, does not affect it. “The track after the snowfall is very good, it has always been perfect and not much has changed. It was a little slower, with the new snow, but it was -25 degrees and that was more difficult,” he acknowledged.
