Gold and silver for Norway in the Nordic combination

Norwegian Nordic combined competitor Jorgen Grabak won a gold medal today at the Winter Olympics in Beijing, after jumping on the big jump and cross-country skiing for 10 kilometers.

He was in 12th place after the jumps, and came to victory in the finish of the race with the result of 27: 13.3 minutes.

This is Grabak’s fifth Olympic medal in his career, and the second in Beijing after the silver medal in the small jump competition.

His compatriot Jens Luras Oftebro won the silver medal, with a lag of 0.4 seconds, while the Japanese Akito Watabe reached the bronze medal with a lag of 0.6 seconds.

Olympic champion in the small jump and the 10-kilometer race, German Vincenz Geiger, finished seventh (31.2).

The three-time consecutive winner of the World Cup and the leader after the jumps, the Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riber, took the eighth place (39.8).

This was Ribery’s first competition at the Beijing Games, as he had spent the previous period in isolation due to the coronavirus.

The Nordic combined team competition is on the program on Thursday.
