Weak Austrians in Tulln: Rodionov also eliminated

Jurij Rodionov suffered a defeat in his second match as a tennis top 100 player. The Lower Austrian, seeded number two, had to admit defeat to the Czech Vit Kopriva 5:7.6:2.4:6 in the round of 16 of the ATP Challenger in Tulln on Wednesday. The 24-year-old ÖTV actor entered this circle for the first time as number 100 at the end of August. Rodionov will have to leave this again next week due to the early defeat.

Also eliminated was Lucas Miedler, who had to bow to the German Henri Squire with 6:4.3:6.4:6. Austria is only represented in the singles by Gerald Melzer, who will face the top seeded Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas on Thursday.
