Niels Frederiksen: Dissatisfied with the game
We must improve our game and timing in the relations between the players, admits Niels Frederiksen, who, however, rejoiced in the eighth victory in a row

Brøndby got the eighth victory in a row. The ninth in the last ten via a 1-0 victory over heroically fighting SønderjyskE, but it was not based on distinguished play.

It became what one must calmly describe as a work victory.

Despite 11 against 10 for almost one hour, Brøndby had a hard time breaking down the SønderjyskE wall.

– In terms of play, it was not an achievement for top marks. That said, we are very happy with the three points, says Niels Frederiksen after the eighth victory in a row in the Super League.

The head coach was not very happy with the technical quality and timing in relations between the players.

– We have a lot to work with on the training ground, even though we won.

– We want to play in Europe, but if we can do better, then it’s great. We must stay focused on making our performance better, the Brøndby coach admits.

Not far from there stood vice-captain Kevin Mensah, who most of all was happy with the victory but by no means played.

– It all becomes a little unredeemed. We perform below level and can take nothing but the victory.

– It is clear that we have to train a little to be better at playing against an established defense, says Kevin Mensah, who on Sunday can look forward to a difficult away game when Silkeborg is waiting.

– Silkeborg is an atypical promotion team. They play at a much higher level than a promotion team. And they do it in a positive way with attacking football, lots of ball possession. It will be a hard nut to crack. We think we can also beat them on Sunday, says Niels Frederiksen, who can not remember, he has won eight victories in a row as a club coach at the highest level.
