Buffon extended his contract with Parma until June 2024

Parma goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon extended his contract with the Italian second division football team until June 2024.

If he stays until the end of his contract, Buffon will play football until he is 46, and his senior career will last 29 years.
Buffon returned to Parma last summer, after his contract with Juventus expired. He then signed a two-year contract, which he has now extended for another season, Italian media reported.

Buffon is the record holder of Serie A with 657 games, and he won 10 championship titles with Juventus. He played 23 games in Serie B this season.

After 26 rounds, Parma is 13th on the table with 32 points. The club fired coach Enzo Marescu in November and replaced him with Giuseppe Iacini.
