Unpleasant surprise at the battle of the beauties.
Candidate Alexa Breit (24) cancels her participation in Fame Fighting! The reason: back problems. The organizer was informed of this three days before the big BILD boxing event. The big question just before the big boxing spectacle in Bonn: Who will fight against Julia Roemmelt (29) now? Or will there be no replacement for the battle of the beauties?
Fame Fighting organizer Eugen Lopez told BILD: “Alexa has been training for about twelve weeks, and two to three weeks ago she complained about pain in her back. She also found it difficult to move her hips. She (and her team) thought they could ignore the pain over time, hoping it would go away on its own over time. Now the inflammation in the back is so bad that they haven’t been able to inject the pain away.”
And further: “She really wanted to fight and was extremely motivated and invested a lot – money, time and pain. She was totally into it.”
A disappointment for Julia. “Julia was broken. She trained for six weeks for it. Was really excited for the fight. She’s mentally exhausted because she’s put so much into it.”
Julia already revealed at the press conference: “I recently separated and then the request for Fame Fighting came. Then I thought: NOW is the moment when I have to be strong and grow beyond myself.”
Are you looking for a replacement for Alexa? “I had an idea this morning: a replacement opponent. She also had 1.6 million followers. BUT she is experienced in battle and that would be unfair to Julia. That would be Julia’s downfall because she would be training in a sport for the first time in her life. Putting an experienced opponent in the ring would be fatal and dangerous.”
A clear no-go for Eugen. The fight is therefore canceled without replacement. Next Saturday only eight couples will compete against each other in the Maritim Hotel.
However: in order to officially be eliminated from the fight, Alexa must be assessed as incapable of fighting by the event doctors. When will that happen? “Alexa comes to our medical check on Friday. Then everything will be checked again by our doctors. She also brings her own findings.”
But what is important to Eugen: “We at Fame Fighting don’t believe that anything is fake. She invested too much for that.”
But Eugen still dares to look into the future: “As the organizer, I of course only wish her the best. We are trying to make the fight happen next year. The fight between the two has a lot of potential.”
