Bruno took Portugal to Qatar, the Poles better than Sweden

The football national teams of Portugal and Poland qualified for the World Cup in Qatar tonight, as they were better than Northern Macedonia and Sweden, respectively, in the playoffs.

Portugal celebrated in Porto against Northern Macedonia with 2: 0 goals by Bruno Fernandez in the 32nd and 65th minute.

The home team was better and created chances from the beginning of the match, while Northern Macedonia did not have the strength for another surprise after the elimination of Italy.

In the 32nd minute, Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes took advantage of a big mistake by the captain of Northern Macedonia, Stefan Ristovski, who returned the ball badly to the middle of the field. Bruno reached her, who then played a double pass with Ronaldo and overcame the goalkeeper of the visiting team.

The Portuguese scored the second goal after a mistake by the Macedonians and a counterattack. In that 65th minute, the action ended with a great cross shot by Zota and Bruno’s second goal.

Poland celebrated the same result at home against Sweden.

There were no goals in the first half, but after only four minutes of the game, Poland took the lead with a goal by Robert Lewandowski from the penalty spot. The victory and the placement of the Poles in the World Cup was confirmed by Piotr Zielinski in the 73rd minute.

The group draw for the World Cup is scheduled for Friday, and the tournament in Qatar is on the program from November 21 to December 18.
