The Augsburg Panthers and coach Christof Kreutzer are going their separate ways after a disappointing season in the German Ice Hockey League. As the bottom of the table in the main round announced on Wednesday, the collaboration with assistant coach Juha Nokelainen and goalkeeping coach Sinisa Martinovic will not be continued. The club did not announce who will succeed the 56-year-old Kreutzer in the new season.
“Around a year ago, Christof Kreutzer took on the Augsburger Panther challenge with conviction, initiated a personnel change and made many right decisions. Even though things looked good for a long time, in the end we didn’t achieve our common goal for the season,” said Gesellschafter Lothar Sigl with. In terms of sport, the Augsburgers are relegated in the DEL. Whether they will actually be relegated may only be decided in a few weeks when the second division playoff winner is determined.
