The passenger who hit a flight attendant on a flight to Tbilisi was released to his home and will not be prosecuted
Last Thursday, a serious incident occurred on a Sun Dor flight to Tbilisi, during which a passenger ran riot and hit a flight attendant. As a result of the incident, the flight turned around after about an hour in the air and returned to land in Tel Aviv. Now it turns out that the passenger who was arrested immediately after the plane landed, will not be prosecuted due to his mental state and the fact that he was apparently under a psychotic attack and was not responsible for his actions.”This is a complex case from which we did not collect any evidence at all,” explained a police official. “He apparently suffered a psychotic attack as a result of his military service in Gaza. This is one of those rare cases where it will be difficult to prosecute a person who is not responsible for his actions.”

According to the testimony of one of the passengers on the plane, the passenger started shouting, the flight attendant approached him and asked him to speak quietly and then the mess started. “He spoke in a loud voice and told about the difficult experiences he had in Gaza. The flight attendant asked him to speak quietly because it disturbs the passengers. The passenger got angry with her, got up from his seat and shouted: ‘I have medical cannabis in my bag, I saw bodies flying in Gaza’. He attacked her, and pushed her towards One of the seats where children were sitting. Some of the passengers managed to rescue the bruised stewardess who needed treatment.”

At that moment, the pilot realized that this was a real danger to the lives of the passengers and the flight crew, and decided to return to Israel and not land, for example, in a foreign country on the way. As soon as the plane landed, the passenger was taken by police and medical teams to receive medical treatment. As of now, despite the severity of the acts, the story is closed .
