1000 miles 2024, the list of accepted cars has been published

With the conclusion of the work of the Selection Commission, responsible for examining the applications for admission received, the list of cars accepted for the 2024 edition of the 1000 Miglia is officially public. There will be 33 nations represented, but Italy will still be the country with the largest number of competitors and there will be 71 examples of cars that took part in the historic 1000 Miglia speed race. Line-ups such as those of the Alfa Romeo and Bugatti will be without equal, worthy of the most beautiful race in the world. 50 Alfa Romeos in total, among which a rare block of 6C 1750s and three 8Cs stand out, 31 Porsches, 27 Jaguars, 25 Mercedes Benz, 21 Ferraris and 17 Bugattis will set off from Brescia on 11 June to return on Saturday 15 , after having covered over 2,000 km of the route which will have its usual turning point in Rome on the evening of Thursday 13th.

Contending for the victory with Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli in search of the fourth consecutive title, the fifth for Vesco who also triumphed in 2020 alongside his father Roberto, the Argentine couple Juan Tonconogy and Barbara Ruffini, the last foreign team, will return to the Viale Venezia stage present in the race’s roll of honor with the 2018 victory. Belometti-Ricca, Fontanella-Covelli, Sisti-Gualandi and Turelli-Turelli lead the group of candidates for the podium.

Once the five-stage format has been consolidated, the race will propose an anti-clockwise direction again as in 2021. Turin, Viareggio, Rome and Bologna are the stage goals before the return to Brescia. This year too, the historic Freccia Rossa cars will be preceded by the 1000 Miglia Green and the Ferrari Tribute 1000 Miglia. The 1000 Miglia Experience will then return, the event reserved for modern supercars and hypercars which will thus reach its third edition. The cars admitted to the 1000 Miglia 2024, to guarantee excellence and authenticity, are all registered as per the Regulations in the 1000 Miglia Register. The list is available on the official website 1000miglia.it.
