Nagelsmann leads the German national team until the 2026 World Cup

Germany national football team coach Julian Nagelsmann renewed his contract as head of the technical staff of Die Mannschaft until the 2026 World Cup scheduled for the United States, Canada and Mexico, as the German Football Association announced on Friday, putting an end to rumors that spoke of the possibility of returning to coaching one of the clubs.

Nagelsmann, who took over as coach of the German national team six months after he was suddenly dismissed from coaching Bayern Munich in March 2023, said: “It is a decision that comes from the heart. “It is a great honor to supervise the national team.”

The 36-year-old young coach, whose contract was set to expire after the European Cup scheduled to take place in Germany from June 14 to September 14 next, added, “We hope to achieve success in the European Cup, which we are eagerly awaiting thanks to a group of the best players in the country.” After that, my technical team and I will face the challenge of the World Cup.”

Nagelsmann took over the job of coaching the national team last September, and the results began to improve as of last March during the international window with two remarkable victories over France 2-0 and the Netherlands 2-1 in a friendly match after he renewed the national team’s blood, in addition to calling up influential midfielder Toni Kroos.
