“As a girl player, my goal was not a professional career, but to get into the ToPo women’s team, which was playing in the second division at the time. When “Family” (Kari-Pekka) Blade once cut a basketball sock to mark ToPo’s men’s championship, little Taru’s dream of a championship in ToPo has lived on for 30 years since then,” recalled Tuukkanen, who said that ToPo had only one focus this season.

“These finals were our only goal since last spring. Nothing else mattered. The team also remained practically the same”, stated 46-year-old Tuukkanen, who has not yet decided on the continuation of his career.
