Finland's cheer team already had a top performance – World Cup medals for juniors in all categories – Sports

Finland also reached the World Cup finals in cheer dancing.

The Finnish women’s cheerleading team enters the World Cup cheerleading competitions in the finals from the top spot in the semi-finals.

Finland beat the US team in the semi-finals of the World Cup in Orlando by barely 0.07 points.

“It was a really good semi-bet from us. Even better in the final”, the team’s head coach Maria Wahlroos summed up the Cheerleading Association in the bulletin.

After the United States, Sweden finished third in the semifinals.

The final will take place on the night between Friday and Saturday, Finnish time.

Finland dominated the world championship in 2018–2022. The reigning world champion is the United States, which won the 2023 World Cup.

Also The national cheer dance team made it from Thursday’s semi-final to the final, and will be looking for success in sixth place.

“We have a lot of first timers in the team, and now everyone has been there on the World Cup stage, so tomorrow it will be like going home”, the team captain My Quick assured.

The cheer dance final will take place on Friday evening Finnish time.

Finland has won bronze in cheer dancing two years in a row, and silver in 2021.

The scores of the semi-finals have no influence on the final ranking.

At the same time, in the Junior World Championships in Orlando, Finland won a medal in all three junior series.

The mixed team and the girls’ national team won silver medals.

“It wasn’t our team’s best bet, unfortunately. We are disappointed”, the girls’ captain Stephanie Lindqvist comment on the mood after the final.

Mistakes in the final performance ruined the dream of the girls’ World Cup gold, which went to the United States by barely five points. The girls’ national team won gold last time in 2021.

In cheer dancing, the juniors won bronze, which is the first medal in the series since 2017.
