European giants can activate Bruno Guimarães’ million-dollar clause

The midfielder Bruno Guimarães a standout from England’s Newcastle, is one of the European giants’ main targets in the Old Continent’s next transfer window.

Holder of the Brazilian national team, the former Athtletico athlete is the most valuable Brazilian in English football, according to information from the specialized website, Transfer market.

Guimarães has a termination clause valid until June, worth 100 million pounds – R$646 million, at the current price. The value defined in the contract is high, but below what Newcastle would ask for the sale of the athlete.

Newcastle coach confirms Bruno Guimarães’ clause

The former Hurricane player is considered the pillar of the North of England team’s long-term project. “Yes, it’s true”, declared Eddie Howe, coach of the English team, regarding the contractual clause that allowed the Brazilian to leave in the next window.

“We don’t want speculation, so this is a kind of final point. We want to keep him and build the team around him. But we are not in control of this situation, so we will see”, he reinforced.

If Newcastle manages to keep Guimarães until July, they would once again have full control over the athlete’s situation in the football market, after the £100 million clause expires.

While the window has yet to start, Bruno Guimarães has been linked to a series of speculations involving the biggest clubs in Europe. Barcelona has long-standing interest, which even considered buying the athlete before the current season.
