Blue Origin, the company that will take Katy Perry to the exclusively feminine mission space

What is Blue Origin?

It is an aerospace company founded by Jeff Bezos, in 2000. He is nothing less than the owner of Amazon and the second richest man in the world, only behind Elon Musk, owner of Spacex. Both compete in the aerospace race.

Its first releases occurred in 2005. Since that date it has covered different missions, and one of the most popular has been the development of space tourism. Now, according to CNN information, the company has not confirmed the date on which the exclusively feminine mission would be made.

In mid -April the company got a milestone by putting into orbit (that is, around the earth) its new New Glenn rocket. The 98 meters high ship, equivalent to a 32 -story building, took off from the Cabo Cañaveral Space Station, in Florida.

According to AFP information, Blue Origin already has a contract with NASA for the launch of two probes towards Mars aboard the New Glenn. It will also support the deployment of the Kuiper project, a satellite to compete with the Starlink Internet network (also Elon Musk).

As for his historical flights, Blue Origin already made a flight that marked a milestone in 2024: he took the space to the most age. This is Ed Dwight, an African -American sculptor and expilot of the Air Force that was rejected by the astronaut body of the US space agency NASA in the 1960s.

Dwight, with 90 years, became the oldest person to travel to space, overcoming actor William Shatner. This is how the company follows its way to reaffirm its aerospace work, and now it will do so on a trip with Katy Perry and other female figures.
