AMD launches noise cancellation technology Noise Suppression

AMD has introduced a new technology called AMD Noise Suppression, which is capable of reducing background noise using a deep learning algorithm in real time during gameplay.

The technology company has unveiled this new system in the presentation of the latest version of its AMD software driver: Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1.

Specifically, AMD has indicated that this solution, which is already available, works for both output and input devices.

This indicates that it works in call programs that allow interaction with one or several people by voice, such as Microsoft Teams, Discord o Slack.

This is possible because it uses a real-time deep learning algorithm that reduces audio background noise and removes unwanted interference from both the user’s microphone as well as on the other party’s device.

To access this feature, users will need to download the latest version of AMD software and go to the ‘Settings’, ‘Audio and video’. Once inside, noise cancellation can be turned on for the input device, the output device, or both.

On the other hand, the company has indicated that, among other novelties presented by this update of its ‘software’, an improvement in performance in Minecraft, thanks to OpenGL optimizations, expanded support for Radeon RX 5000 and RX 6000 series graphics cards on laptops with AMD Ryzen and hybrid graphics, as well as support for AMD Radeon Boost for titles like Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village, and VALORANT.
