Google implements Preferred Sources so you can receive your news from your favorite sites

Google has implemented an interesting function that will allow your searches in the Featured News section to be more in line with your preferences and focus on sites that you consider trustworthy.

“Preferred Sources has been an important step in giving our audiences greater control over how they discover and engage with trusted Dow Jones news and information,” John Wiley, vice president of Audiences, Dow Jones, said in a statement. “We have seen great initial acceptance and encouraging signs that this greater level of personalization can generate more consistent interaction over time.”

“As Google expands this feature to more users around the world, we are excited about the opportunity to continue strengthening the way high-quality, credible journalism connects with audiences in more thoughtful and valuable ways,” he added.
