Pikachu in Ishikawa: the first airport dedicated to Pokémon

The aesthetic intervention involves the entire perimeter of the airport, redefining the traveler’s experience from the moment of disembarkation. Inside the terminal, a giant air balloon depicting Pikachu will be installed, flanked by a replica of an aircraft and decorations that include 111 different species of flying-type Pokémon. The functional infrastructures, from the entrance columns to the boarding gates, were also integrated into the project to generate a sense of total immersion in the brand. According to local authorities, the objective is to transform a place of simple transit into an autonomous tourist destination, capable of generating immediate enthusiasm in passengers.

The airport’s offer is completed with exclusive services oriented towards collecting and thematic catering. Inside the structure, original products not available in other markets will be marketed, such as personalized clothing and travel accessories. The theming also reaches the food area, where the menu has been adapted with specific gastronomic proposals, including pancakes and drinks served on exclusive table sets.
