DuckDuckGo grows as an alternative to Google, which introduced more AI in its Search Engine

Google has pushed for greater integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its search engine, resulting in a 33 percent growth in downloads of DuckDuckGo for iOS in the United States.

Although they have detected growth internationally, these most notable figures are limited to the United States, where visits to the version without artificial intelligence (noai.duckduckgo.com) have also increased by 22.7 percent.

DuckDuckGo is an alternative search engine to Google that appeared in 2008 with a proposal that affected the protection of user privacy. In recent years it has also incorporated AI functions, such as AI-assisted responses and access to popular chatbots on the free Duck.Ai platform.

The company states that these are optional functions and features, and that conversations with the ‘chatbots’, whether written or voice, are anonymized and are not used to train the models.
