Acer presents the Predator Helios 18 AI gaming laptop and the Nitro Blaze Link streaming device

Acer has announced the Predator Helios 18 gaming laptop, which leads a new range of gaming solutions focused on performance, portability and immersive gaming, of which the Acer Nitro 16 is also a part.

The technology company has updated its catalog of video game equipment and accessories within the framework of Computex 2026, where it has announced Predator Helios 18 (PH18-I71), a gaming laptop with artificial intelligence (AI) aimed at enthusiastic players and eSports competitors.

The company claims that this device offers desktop power in a portable format with the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, while visual fidelity and accelerated performance are backed by a GPU up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090. It can be configured with up to 256 GB of memory and 6 TB of storage.

It has an 18-inch WQUXGA miniLED display, with 1,000 nits of brightness in HDR mode and Calman Verified color accuracy with 100% DCI-P3 coverage. As a dual-mode display, it allows seamless switching between 4K at 120Hz and Full HD at 240Hz.

At the cooling level, it uses a system of two 6th generation Predator AeroBlade 3D fans, each with 100 metal blades with a thickness of 0.05 mm. Vector heat pipes and liquid metallic thermal grease further improve thermal efficiency.

The laptop’s audio uses Acer’s patented Predator Vox technology, a proprietary six-speaker system designed for high-fidelity near-field audio that improves directionality, clarity and immersive range.

It also has support for Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro technology, which combines Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750x and Intel Killer Ethernet E5000B to intelligently prioritize the most critical network traffic, and integrates two Thunderbolt 5 ports.

Acer Nitro 16

Acer has also presented the Acer Nitro 16 laptop, which is the company’s first gaming laptop that incorporates up to an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor. It also integrates an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU and a dual-fan cooling system, with four air inlets and four air outlets.

Acer Nitro 16 comes with a WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) screen with 100% sRGB coverage, up to a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 3 ms, and integrates 4 USB ports and support for WiFi 6E.

ACER NITRO BLAZE LINK

The technology company has also brought to Computex the Acer Nitro Blaze Link (GN772), a portable and complementary device that offers streaming and extends the capabilities and reach of an existing computer, without the hardware burden of local processing.

This device pairs with Acer devices like the Predator Helios 18 AI and Acer Nitro 16 to stream the user’s game library. It offers high-quality streaming with the speed and stability of WiFi 6, and features a 7-inch WUXGA touchscreen as well as two two-watt speakers.

MONITORS AND ACCESSORIES

Along with the new gaming gear, the company has introduced new monitors and accessories to complement the experience, including the Predator Aethon 750 TKL gaming-grade keyboard and the Predator Robust Plus backpack.

In monitors, the catalog has been expanded with the 3D Predator XB273K, which combines 2D to 3D capabilities, 4K resolution, a 180 Hz refresh rate and compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC. Also from the Predator range is the 34-inch Predator X34 F1, which features 1800R curvature, 360 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response.

The Nitro range, for its part, includes the 34-inch Acer Nitro XV345CKR P curved monitor and the 31.5-inch Acer Nitro XV320QX monitor, both with 5K resolution. Also the 27-inch Acer Nitro XV273U F5, which offers a refresh rate of 500 or 1000 Hz in HD.
