Imagine: your cell phone rings, it says “Mom”, the voice is hers – but it’s not her. On the other side is a fraudster who stole her number and copied her voice to perfection with AI tools. Frauds like this are all the more common, and Google has decided to put an end to exactly this type of attack. As part of the June Android Feature Drop, the Phone by Google application received a fake call detection function. It works on the principle of digital handshake between two devices – when a contact who also uses Phone by Google calls you, his mobile phone sends a silent signal to yours that confirms that the call really comes from that device. If the signal is missing, you get a warning. Everything works automatically in the background, without any configuration, and is turned on by default. The requirement is Android 12 or later with RCS enabled on both sides, and Pixel devices get the feature first.
AirDrop is finally available for Android users
Another interesting news for those who constantly struggle with sending files with iPhones – Quick Share AirDrop compatibility is expanding to many more devices. The list now includes Samsung models from the S24 series onwards, Fold and Flip from the sixth generation, and mobile phones from brands such as OPPO, OnePlus, Vivo, Xiaomi and Honor. If your device is not yet on the list, Quick Share can generate a QR code that handles the transfer via the cloud.

Children under the age of 13 can now display medical information and emergency contacts on the locked screen, and it is also possible to turn on automatic reporting to emergency services in the event of a traffic accident.
