MG builds the first factory in Europe and invests as much as 200 million euros

The plant will combine research and development of vehicles, production, supply of key components and logistics operations. MG states that the project will increase the share of local production and procurement and strengthen the brand’s European supply chain. The company also announced the strengthening of cooperation with European technological partners, research institutions and suppliers, with an emphasis on the development of battery technologies, mobility systems and energy solutions.

The announcement comes in a period of intensive transformation of the European automotive industry, driven by the goals of the European Union related to the reduction of emissions and the electrification of traffic.

At the same time, MG continues to expand its range of electric and hybrid vehicles. Among the newer models are the MG4 EV Urban, MGS9 Plug-in Hybrid, MGS5 EV, MGS6 EV and MG HS Hybrid+. The offer also remains the electric roadster MG Cyberster.

The company announced earlier this year that it had delivered the millionth vehicle to customers in Europe. Since returning to the British market in 2011, MG has expanded its sales network to more than 1,300 dealers in 34 European markets.
