Business households in Dong Nai are supported with digital transformation

At a conference on supporting stores, wholesale and retail businesses to transform digitally in Dong Nai city, on the morning of June 10, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong assessed that currently, many small business households and traditional business households are having difficulty adapting to new business methods.

According to him, as payment activities, invoicing, tax declaration, revenue management and customer outreach are increasingly carried out in a digital environment, many business households have a need to convert, but have limited access to digital tools and digital skills.

From that reality, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said that the cooperation of state agencies and digital technology businesses will help people and business households transform digitally, help businesses become more efficient and comply with the law better.

According to the Deputy Minister, through digital tools such as sales management software, electronic invoices or digital payments, they will be able to better manage daily business activities, reduce manual recording time, limit errors and save operating costs; At the same time, gradually form data to serve sustainable business development.

Dong Nai is considered a locality with a large business community with more than 105,000 households, making an important contribution to commercial activities, services and goods circulation in the area. The implementation of the program is expected to achieve dual goals, including: supporting business households to access and effectively apply digital solutions to improve competitiveness and efficiency of production and business activities; At the same time, it provides more practical basis to perfect models and solutions to support digital transformation suitable to the characteristics of business households in the coming time.

At the conference, the Ministry of Science and Technology and Dong Nai People’s Committee awarded a cooperation agreement on coordination and pilot implementation to support stores, wholesale and retail businesses in digital transformation in the city.

The program is implemented according to a coordination model between management agencies, technology enterprises and business households. In particular, technology businesses directly provide platforms, services and support packages for business households to access digital tools, while management agencies organize implementation, monitoring and support in solving problems that arise during the implementation process.

Business households participating in the program will receive a free assessment of their digital transformation readiness, and will be advised on choosing solutions suitable to their business scale and needs.

Participating in the program, many technology enterprises such as VNPT, Viettel, Misa, Sapo… will support business households to access and experience digital platforms for sales management, electronic payment, e-commerce and brand building in the online environment.

Business households also receive free support for a period of time for some sales management software, digital signatures, electronic invoices, national domain names and websites. The program also organizes digital skills training classes directly at the facility to help people and business households become familiar with digital tools in production and business activities.

Representative of Dong Nai People’s Committee said the program will be implemented until the end of November 2026. The goal is to reach all wholesale and retail businesses in the area. According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the results of implementation in Dong Nai city will be a practical basis to research and perfect the model to support business households in digital transformation and consider replicating in other localities in the near future.
