Android 17 simplifies migration from iPhone and supports more data types, including passwords and WiFi keys

Google has updated the migration process in Android 17 to make it easier for users to leave their iPhone behind by simplifying it and supporting more types of data.

The new native Android 17 migration process was announced this Wednesday along with Samsung’s new foldable devices from the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 series, which will be among the first to have it, along with the Pixel.

This updated process supports more document types, such as passwords, WiFi network credentials, eSIM and Google account, which join photos, videos, contacts, messages and calendar entries, as Google reports on its news page.

It is also an experience integrated into Android 17, which you do not need to download any application external to transfer data from an iPhone to a mobile phone with the Google system.
