Apple, iMac with M6 chip could arrive by the end of the year

Bloomberg Apple analyst Mark Gurman talks about some new color options, without providing details on what will change compared to the current range. A precedent in this sense had already been seen with the 2024 M4 refresh, when Apple had kept the seven historical colors unchanged, limiting itself to modifying the shades. Again, according to the journalist, the launch of the new iMac should take place by the end of the year, without further delays for those who are waiting to buy it.

The debut of the iMac is part of a broader renewal of the Mac line expected in the autumn. The new features arriving include the completely redesigned MacBook Pro, with touch screen and Tandem OLED technology, the new 14-inch MacBook Pro in the basic version with M6 chip, the Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra (the availability of which will depend on the supply chain) and, indeed, the new iMac with M6. It is not excluded that a renewed Mac mini with M6 and M5 Pro will also arrive, although this update is considered more likely at a later date.
