Apple launched Mac Studio 2026 with the highest price of 512 million VND

Thanks to new upgrades, Mac Studio is a high-end desktop line with Apple’s most powerful hardware currently, surpassing even the Mac Pro. The product has a square design made of monolithic aluminum, looking like a taller version of the Mac mini. The users the product is aimed at are content creation experts, engineers, filmmakers, 3D graphic designers and professional programmers. In addition to configuration, the device also has a full range of high-end ports such as Thunderbolt 5, HDMI 2.1, USB-C and SD card slot.

The M5 Max chip launched earlier this year with the MacBook Pro line, has now become the “basic” option for the new Mac Studio line. This is a model that replaces the Mac Studio with the old M4 Max chip, which when upgraded uses 18 CPU cores (6 super-processing cores and 12 high-performance cores). The GPU in the chip has a maximum configuration of 40 cores, with 50% faster performance than the previous generation. 614 GB/s unified memory bandwidth, up from 546 GB/s of the M4 Max generation.

Mac Studio uses the M5 Max chip with 36 GB default RAM and maximum support for 128 GB. This number is the same as the M4 Max version, but due to global supply shortages over the past year, the company has gradually reduced RAM options.

The “star” of the new Mac Studio line is the version using the latest M5 Ultra chip. This is also Apple’s most powerful chip currently, using new generation exclusive UltraFusion technology capable of connecting two dual-core M5 Max chips, creating Apple’s first 4-chip cluster architecture. This also delivers more than 4.4 TB/s of inter-core bandwidth and 6x higher connection density, allowing all four cores to operate as a single unified processor.

The M5 Ultra chip has a GPU with up to 80 cores and is introduced by the company as the most powerful GPU on an Apple Silicon chip ever. This is also the first time the company has integrated an artificial intelligence processing accelerator into an Ultra series chip. The new chip provides 4.5 times more artificial intelligence (AI) graphics processing performance than the M3 Ultra.

Apple’s most advanced chip has a maximum CPU configuration of 36 cores with 12 super powerful cores and 24 high-performance cores. The company says this increases single-threaded performance by 1.25x and multi-threaded performance by 1.3x compared to the M3 Ultra. The chip’s multimedia processor has twice as many video encoding and decoding blocks as the M5 Max, supporting up to 33 simultaneous 8K ProRes video streams.

Mac Studio has RAM options from 36 to 256 GB, internal memory from 512 GB to 16 TB. The starting price for the M5 Max version is from 70 million VND while the highest version is 512 million VND with 256 GTB RAM, 16 GB memory, M5 Ultra chip version with 36 CPU cores, 80 GPU cores.
