HP has announced the new HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 4000/X400 Series and HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP X728/Color X778 Series printers with a focus on business solutions that help connect the physical and digital workflowsprotect information and make device management easier, with tools based on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
At an event held in Madrid, attended by Europa Press, the company presented the new HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 4000/X400 Seriesdesigned for small teams with professional color printing needs, while HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP X728 y HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP X778 Series They are designed for small work groups in medium and large companies.
“Business printing is part of an increasingly connected technological infrastructure, and that changes what organizations expect from their devices,” said the general director of Printing at HP Iberia, Pedro Brito, who has emphasized a paradigm shift on the part of companies, which seek maximum productivity with tools that simplify the daily tasks of workers.
“It is no longer just about printing and scanning faster, but rather about simplifying processes, anticipating possible incidents and protecting information throughout the life cycle of the device,” said Brito, ensuring that with these new printers they take “one more step towards making technology requires less intervention and help people work more efficiently.

Regarding the specifications of the new printers, the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 4000/X400 Series, in addition to replacing the current HP LaserJet Enterprise 400 Series, offers faster print speedsup to 35 pages per minute, an input capacity of up to 1,400 sheets and, in the case of multifunction models, single-pass duplex scanning of up to 80 images per minute.
Additionally, it includes HP Wolf Security and quantum-resistant security featuresand a range of tools such as HP FutureSmart, HP Web Jetadmin, HP Workforce Experience Platform, HP Security Manager and HP Smart Device Services. It also includes searchable PDF as standard and, on the X400 MFPs, optional editable OCR.
The new HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP X728 and HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP X778 Series, as devices that combine A3 performance with a scalable platform, feature print speeds of up to 31 pages per minute.
Likewise, the Color X778 includes automatic two-sided scanning of up to 120 images per minute, and both printers are characterized by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is responsible for extracting and organizing key information from documents, as well as converting scanned documents into editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel files.
Another aspect of AI in both printers comes through HP Smart Device Serviceswhich is responsible for monitoring the devices to anticipate possible maintenance tasks.
Like the 4000/X400 Series, it includes HP Wolf Security and quantum-resistant security features, as well as HP FutureSmart, HP Workforce Experience Platform, HP Workpath Apps, and HP Open Extensibility Platform.
ECONOMIC DATA IN SPAIN
HP has also provided various data on the office printing market in Spain, and after a drop to $259 million during the pandemic in the total market for A3 and A4 laser printers, Brito has indicated that “from there it has risen slowly.” HP hopes to “reach a 422 million market this year.”
In fact, according to the company, the market will grow this year by 11 percent in both the A3 and A4 segments, with 221,000 devices sold.
