Microsoft Edge Globally Launches Image Creator, Its Dall-E-Based Image Generator

Microsoft ha launched globally its imager based on the Dall-E Artificial Intelligence (AI) model, Image Creator,which is available to all users of Edge in the desktop version and that will make it possible to create images from a short text.

The technology company already indicated in March that would implement this feature in previous versions of the Bing search engine and the Edge browser,adding to this the ability to create images to that of creating text with its ‘chatbot’ function.

Now, Microsoft has released Image Creator, which is already available for Edge users “worldwide”, as announced on his official blog. In this way, he continues to implement functions in the browser with the aim of enhance “productivity and creativity” of the users.

Thus, the Image Creator tool is able to generate images “that don’t exist yet” hand in hand with its partners open AI, Specifically, with the technology of “latest” Dall-E models. This function will be located in the edge right sidebar,along with other search engine tools.

In this way, as Microsoft explains, to create images users will have to click on the Image Creator icon,after which a pop-up window will open in which you must write a short description of the desired image. As a result, Image Creator will display four image options so that the user can choose which one is the most suitable for their intentions

Finally, the chosen image can be downloaded or inserted directly into a document or on social networks. With this, this option makes it easy to get specific images that can be useful, for example, when creating a Power Point presentation for work situations or complementing a document.

Likewise, in case Image Creator has never been used, it must be added to the Edge toolbar, and for this, all you have to do is click on the add icon in the form of ‘+’ and activate the Image Creator function.

In this sense, Edge has become “the first and only browser with an integrated AI imager”, as Microsoft has stressed. This feature is already being rolled out globally.

Microsoft has also introduced other news in the browser as Drop,and space to save and access content that you want to refer to later or to which to resort several times quickly and easily. With this tool, the user will be able to access, from any of their devices, elements shared with themselves such as photos, notes, links or other types of documents.

Along these lines, you have implemented an option to edit and save web images without the need for additional tools or applications. With this option, the user will be able to crop the image, adjust its lighting or add filters directly from the browser. Another novelty is the edge efficiency modewhich achieves longer device battery life through better performance.
