POCO X4 Pro renews the X series with 120Hz AMOLED screen and 5G connectivity

Xiaomi has presented this Monday POCO X4 Pro the successor to the bestseller of the brand, which incorporates for the first time an AMOLED panel, 5G connectivity thanks to the Snapdragon 695 processor and a 120Hz screen.

POCO X3 Pro is a sales success within the short history of POCO, a brand that appeared in 2018 with a commitment to offer advanced features at more balanced prices which materialized in his first device, Pocophone F1.

With more than two million units sold since its launch, X3 Pro achieved a 27 percent share in the 250/300 euro smartphone segment in its first week on sale.

Now, the technology company has come to Barcelona to present, within the framework of Mobile World Congress, to the ‘smartphone’ that is its natural successor: POCO X4 Pro and with which they hope to repeat the success of X3 Pro.

The X4 Pro refreshes the X-series with new additions to the areas that fans of the brand believed could be improved. One of them is the screen, since for the first time in the series an AMOLED panel is used, It supports the DCI-P3 color space, a contrast ratio of 4,500,000:1 and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits.

This ‘smartphone’ has also been designed to offer good performance in video games, and therefore has a large screen (6.67 inches), adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz and 360Hz responsiveness a feature that, as the company has explained, is not very common in the range in which the device is framed.

The camera of POCO X4 Pro incorporates a 108 megapixel main lens large size (1/1.52 inch) that uses ‘9 in 1’ pixel binning technology to improve light and detail in captures. It is complemented by an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle (118º) and a 2 megapixel macro lens (4cm). The front camera has 16 megapixels.

The performance of this equipment is backed by a 5,000mAh battery, with a 67W fast charging system, which is capable of charging 30 percent in 8 minutes, 90 percent in barely half an hour and one hundred percent in around 40 minutes.

M4 PRO, THE LITTLE BROTHER

The company has also introduced the little brother of X4 Pro, the ‘smartphone’ m4pro, that maintains a continuous design with its predecessor, although it introduces a matte finish and flattens the edges to improve grip. It is also the lightest POCO device (179.5 grams) and the thinnest in the M series (8.09mm).

This team includes a 5,000mAh battery, with which the company promises up to two days of use, with a 33W fast charging system, which fully recharges the battery in 61 minutes. And a MediaTek Helio G96 processor as well as 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, while dynamic RAM expansion technology allows you to transfer 3GB of internal memory to RAM.

The M4 Pro’s camera also has three lenses, although it is led by a 64 megapixel sensor which is complemented by an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle (118º) and a 2 megapixel macro lens. The front, like the X4 Pro, is 16 megapixels.

M4 Pro also debuts the AMOLED panel in its series, in a 6.43 inch screen with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, which offers a refresh rate of 90Hz and 180Hz response.
