HanoiThe 10th National Innovation Startup Festival (Techfest Vietnam 2024), starting in April, aims to bring the creative startup ecosystem into regional and international integration.
The information was given by Dr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Market Development, Ministry of Science and Technology, on the morning of April 19.
With the theme “10-year journey – Global integration”, Techfest 2024 will summarize activities and demonstrate outstanding technologies and business models of the creative startup ecosystem in 2024 and the 10th journey. five Techfests since 2015.
Mr. Quat said that the theme of Techfest each year is associated with issues that need to be addressed in the creative startup ecosystem, attracting interest in finding effective and timely solutions. The Techfest 2024 theme aims to bring Vietnam’s creative startup ecosystem into regional and international integration, creating a foundation for establishing an alliance of creative startup countries.

Techfest 2024 will be held in Hai Phong, with outstanding events such as policy forums, contests to find innovative startup talents, investment connection sessions and product exhibitions. It is expected that there will be nearly 150 activities organized throughout with the participation of nearly 30 technology villages. Within the framework of this year’s festival, there will be a conference, an international forum, a technology booth exhibition, and a national high-level policy forum. The talkshow that inspires and connects the global creative startup network is also the highlight of the event series.
The festival also hosts the Asian Unicorn and High-Tech Startup Summit with the participation of high-tech creative startups, unicorns and potential creative startups. become a unicorn (soonicorn) in Asia. Techfest Vietnam was first held in 2015, becoming an annual activity coordinated by the Ministry of Science and Technology with organizing units. Through Techfests, Vietnam’s creative startup ecosystem is growing, creating a new generation of businesses based on intellectual property and capable of accessing the global market.
There are currently three national innovation start-up support centers being formed in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. According to statistics from the Director of the Department of Science and Technology Market Development, Vietnam has about 3,800 startups, of which 11 startups are valued at over 100 million USD and 3 startups are valued at over 1 billion USD.
