WhatsApp prepares a section to manage your favorite contacts on Android

WhatsApp is developing a new tab in the Settings section the platform that will allow users to manage their contacts marked as favorites from a single place on Android devices.

At the end of March, Meta launched an update through the Google Play Beta Program 2.24.7.18 in which a function was integrated that allowed contacts to be added as Favorites in the calls section, with the aim of speeding up their search.

The company is now developing a new feature for managing contacts marked as favorites, as WABetaInfo recently verified in the platform’s latest beta update for Android 2.24.9.19.

This is a new tab, located in the WhatsApp Account settings section, that allows users to add, organize and delete both contacts and favorite groups from the same place in the application.

With this function, the platform aims to give users greater control over their contacts on the platform, as well as simplify the process of locating them, which is currently under development. It will soon be in the testing phase.
