Google will close the Podcasts platform in June internationally

Google has announced that its content platform Google Podcasts, which closed this April in the United States, will be discontinued internationally between mid-to-late June.

At the end of September last year, the company announced that it would end Google Podcasts throughout 2024 and that it would continue investing in this format within YouTube Music.

To do this, it would provide tools to creators who wanted to transfer the experience to this other platform, with a set of guides that could help them carry out this content migration.

In December of that year, Google shared a schedule of this discontinuation, noting that the end of Google Podcasts would occur in April 2024 in the United States, information that it has recently updated in its support website.

In it, he indicated that users outside this country will be able to use Google Podcasts until mid- to late June 2024 and that all users worldwide will be able to migrate or export their subscriptions. until July 29, 2024.

This is done from the application itself, which introduces the ‘Export subscriptions’ button on the top page of the screen, where the option is also introduced ‘Exportar a YouTube Music’. To do this, it is necessary to have this application installed.
